Delete your Stet data

Applies to: Stet (Android). Publisher: TEZZVO.

Stet has no account. You never sign up, sign in or give us your name or email. Everything you log in Stet is kept on your phone, and we never receive it, so you delete it on your phone: in the app, or by uninstalling Stet. Because your entries never reach us, the only information about you we can act on is the purchase record held by RevenueCat, the purchase-management service Stet uses. Section 3 says how to have it deleted, and what to do first: cancel any subscription in Google Play and uninstall Stet.

1. Delete in the app

Open Stet, go to Settings, and under Your data tap Delete everything. The page that opens says what goes and what stays before anything is deleted.

There is no Undo for this. To keep a copy first, use Settings → Your data → Export as spreadsheet (CSV) or Export as data file (JSON). You can also edit or delete any single entry at any time. All of this is free, with or without a subscription.

2. Uninstalling, and Android backup

Uninstalling Stet deletes everything it stored on your phone. The one exception: if you made a purchase and Android backup is on, the random identifier RevenueCat saved with Google Play services stays, so a reinstall can find your purchase. It holds nothing you logged.

If backup is turned on in your phone’s settings, Android may include Stet’s data in your phone’s backup to your own Google account, as it does for other apps. That backup is managed by Google and your phone’s settings. We do not receive it. You can turn it off in your phone’s backup settings.

3. What is held off your phone, and how to have it deleted

To check whether you have bought Pro, Stet asks RevenueCat each time it opens or you come back to it, including if you have never bought anything. RevenueCat receives a random identifier it creates for this app on your phone, the record of any purchase (what was bought, when, the price and currency, and Google Play’s receipt for it), and basic technical information needed to answer and your IP address, which every internet request carries (section 2 of the privacy policy lists them). It never receives your entries or notes. RevenueCat does not keep the IP address itself. After a purchase, RevenueCat also saves that random identifier with Google Play services on your phone and, if Android backup is on, in your backup to your own Google account, so that if you reinstall Stet it can find your purchase.

Before you write to us: if you subscribe to Stet Pro, cancel the subscription in Google Play first (Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions). Deleting our records does not stop Google Play from billing you. Then uninstall Stet (this deletes everything you logged on this phone, so export it first if you want a copy, section 1): while it is installed, Stet asks RevenueCat each time it opens, and that creates a new record with the same random identifier.

Then, to have RevenueCat’s copy deleted, email privacy@tezzvo.com with the subject line “Delete my Stet data”. Stet has no account, so we cannot find your random identifier from your name or email. If you bought something, include the Google Play order number from your purchase receipt (it starts with GPA.): that is how we find your purchase record and the random identifier it belongs to. We will respond within 15 days, and tell you when RevenueCat’s copy is deleted.

The payment itself is handled by Google Play, under Google’s own terms and privacy policy. Google Play keeps its own record of the order, which this request does not reach. We never receive your card details, name or email from Google Play.

If you never bought anything, there is no purchase record to delete, and nothing links RevenueCat’s record of your random identifier to you, so we cannot find it to delete it on request. It holds only that identifier and the technical information above, and nothing you logged. Uninstalling Stet removes the identifier from your phone.
